Students will understand character types in literature after you use this fun and engaging lesson. The fun PowerPoint show covers protagonists, antagonists, dynamic characters and more. Students will learn notetaking skills as they fill out either guided interactive folding notes or Cornell notes.

– antagonist
– minor character
– dynamic
– static
– round
– flat
The PowerPoint presentations can be used with the guided Cornell notes or with the interactive notebook notes. Detailed lesson plans are included.

★ Define terminology related to character types.
★ Read short passages to determine the roles of characters and their importance in fiction.
★ Analyze characters and their relationships.
★ Find supporting text evidence.
