Description

Why should younger kids be the only ones who have fun around the holidays? These writing prompts will be sure to get your students thinking creatively! Some of them will even result in a few chuckles!

There are many ways to use the prompts and task cards:
~ Copy, cut, laminate, place on a ring, and then pass cards
around the room to have students choose a task.
~ Copy and glue into a writer’s notebook.
~ Display on an interactive whiteboard.
~ Use as bell-ringers or quick-writes.
~ Assign for homework.
~ Offer prompts as extra credit.
~ Complete as a group activity.

I’m sure you can think of even more uses! I like to use them as bell-ringers for several days in a row. Then, I give students the option of choosing which one they would like to revise and hand in for a grade.

I’ve given you planning pages for students who need them, blank templates for additional prompts (it might be fun to have students write up some prompts), and some cool looking final draft papers for display. I have also included an “I Can” statement on each card.

This product includes the following:
– 8 Narrative Prompts
