Sharing Our Blessing with a Thank You Giveaway 1

Once upon a time, there was a teacher who loved and cared for her students and strived for them to have well-rounded educations so that they could be the upstanding citizens their fine country deserved.

Now, she is sad to see the strife that has bubbled up in that fine country. However, she has not wavered in her belief that her loved and cared for students will be ready when it is time to pass the torch so the next generation can carry on.

That teacher could be any of us, right?

Personally, the past year hasn’t been an easy one. My family has dealt with serious illnesses and a damaging flood to the entire lower level of our house.

I am a type A worrier, and we are the worst.

Every thing and every one felt like too much. And if I didn’t calm myself every day and force myself to count my blessings instead of my trials, I would have dropped the key to my mind down the sewer grate near the bus stop.

It turns out, my blessings are numerous. I have two wonderful, sweet, caring children, who are smart and resiliant. I have a loyal and loving husband who never fails to get a chuckle out of me even when I’m more Bellatrix than Belle. I have two yummy pups, a roof over my head, and good friends.

Thank goodness, another blessing in my life is art.

Sharing a Blessing With You

We know that art serves as a powerful form of expression. It allows you to convey emotions and experiences that might be difficult to articulate otherwise. Art also provides comfort and helps people feel less isolated in their struggles.

Art is important for our students too! In fact, combining two art forms – drawing and writing – enhances creativity by allowing students to express ideas visually and textually, catering to different learning styles. I found a great way to do that, and I want to share it with you for FREE.

You’ll love this low prep descriptive writing activity. Fairy Tales Descriptive Writing Activity – Draw & Write Short Story Project combines directed drawing with descriptive writing to engage your students and encourage them to write amazing short stories and vivid descriptions! Click the image to download it for FREE before Tuesday!
