Description
It’s not easy to find an engaging book report project that can be used for any work of fiction. It’s even harder to find one that is fun and requires text-based evidence. If those qualities are what you’re looking for, this one fits the bill!
This project will have students giving a useful “gift” to a book character. They will prove the gift’s worth in a friendly letter, using the correct friendly letter format, as well as text-based evidence. They will also follow instructions so they can create a gift box to house the gift.
There are two gift box options, for differentiation. Option 1 is the “exploding” box, which is easy to make and so much fun to open! Option 2 makes use of a small box that students can easily find at home, such as a small tissue box or take-out container.
I have included
